Have your say...

Pembroke Library - click image to enlargeDublin City Council invite you to make a submission regarding any issues you may have in relation to accessibility at Pembroke Library. Plans regarding proposed adjustments will be on view in the library from end-October.

Note: The deadline for submissions has now passed. No further submissions will be received except for those given at the public consultation meeting on the 28th November (see below)

Thanks for your comments. We have uploaded two images of the latest proposed plans, and also made them available as pdfs - the pdfs allow greater enlargement, thus facilitating easier viewing.
To enlarge the text of the site in general, access the facility within your web browser to do so - 'View > Text size > Increase (or Enlarge)'. I hope this helps.
Official will be at hand at the public consultation meeting on Tuesday 28th November 2006 to exlain the plans in detail and to take note of your observations.

The plan looks good but there is an obvious loss of space. I hope it will not be too significant as children need plenty of space and thos children in wheelchairs will need even more. Now all the pupils from Enable Ireland will have access to the first floor. One thinf catching my eye is that , on emerging from the lift, a wheelchair user may be confronted with an open door. Could this not open in the other direction or is it a fire hazard? In the event of a fire is there a suitable fire-escape for all the library users?
